How to play

Timujin is a simple territory control game played on a 10x10 grid consisting of two phases.

Phase One

Each player takes turns placing two fountains. They may be placed on any empty tile, and will form the basis for the available actions in phase two.

Phase Two

Each player takes turns playing one of the tiles in their hand. The tiles can be placed adjacent to a fountain or in the direction indicated by any of the player's previously placed tiles.

Once placed, a new tile is randomly drawn and the other player then must place a tile.

If your pieces fully surround empty territory, that territory is captured and added to your score. The territory must be totally empty and so may not contain any of the opponent's pieces. Additionally, the edges of the board do not count as your tiles towards this surround, so

How to Win

If either player controls 51+ tiles, they win. If either player is unable to place any tiles, they lose. In the unlikely event that both player control exactly 50 tiles each, a stalemate is declared.
